The raw cotton is guaranteed NOT CHANGED and is spun directly after the harvest in Baden Württemberg in a more than 100 year old traditional spinning mill to ECHT cotton.
With ECHT from Atelier Zitron you buy an extremely high-quality cotton with a fibre length of 4cm! Cotton yarns of the competition usually have only 0.5 to 1 cm fiber length. With such cotton yarns with short fibers, the fibers cross and break through the surface which leads to a dull appearance without natural shine.
Due to the long fiber length of ECHT the yarn shines all by itself without being mercerized and remains soft and light. The ECHT cotton is gassed like a single yarn (careful burning of the protruding fibres).
